The Executive Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor, has announced with deep regret the passing of the immediate past Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. James Onoja (Kross). Hon. Atabor expresses deep shock upon receiving the heartbreaking news from the family ,describing the loss as unimaginable, particularly in light of their recent conversation focused on a more prosperous Igalamela/Odolu LGA. He revealed that Hon. Onoja passed on after a brief illness, noting that while the loss is painful, it is also accepted in good faith, trusting in the will of God who owns time and all things. He further stated that until his death, Hon. James Onoja served diligently as the Idah Zonal Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Security, a role he discharged with integrity, dedication, and commitment. Hon. Atabor emphasised that the demise of Hon. Onoja is not only a great loss to Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, but also to Kogi State and Nigeria at large, as his positive impact and selfless service will be greatly missed. He added that details of the burial arrangements will be communicated to the public as soon as they are concluded.
